SYSTEMS

What We Do

The engineering team will work with you to configure hardware and software for a turnkey motion capture system that meets the unique needs of your research, clinical rehab or sports application. We begin by first looking at the requirements for your base station. Does it need to be mobile for use outside a lab setting? Will there be a need to collect from multiple sensor technologies?

We then work with you to identify the optimal motion capture technology to track the kinematics of motion. Do you need a markerless system? Would a passive optical system or inertial measurement unit (IMU) be more appropriate? Or would your application be best served with a hybrid system consisting of two or more kinematic tracking systems?

System options
Optional peripherals

Once the best motion capture technology is established, we can help identify the peripheral technologies that will work flawlessly with you system. Which eye tracker, EMG, EEG, or force plate will work robustly with your other technologies to ensure data is accurate and synched in time?

We work closely with our many partners who have been with us since the early days of our existence 30 years ago. They represent the premier providers of technology in their respective fields. Because of our intimate understanding of their technologies, we are able to do direct collection of data from all hardware sources, thus ensuring the best features of each system are reflected in your configuration. Ranging from Vicon optical tracking, to AMTI force plates and transducers, to Tobii eye trackers, to Delsys EMG and ANTneuro EEG, to Unity virtual worlds, we offer the broadest range of research-grade technology in the marketplace.

Most importantly, once designed, we purchase components and then assemble and test your system. Following shipment, we will perform onsite installation and training that focuses on your specific application with the goal of collecting meaningful data on day one. And our subscription and support program ensures that your system will continue to perform robustly and seamlessly upgrade as your research moves on to the next question.

Here are two interesting background pieces on the development and introduction of The MotionMonitor xGen. The first is a two-minute video entitled “Real-Time Revolutionized”. The second is our introductory blog post entitled “The Next Generation of Biomechanics Software”, which was based on 24 years of listening to our clients.

  • Take a look at the unique features that our integrated, turnkey systems deliver when combined with The MotionMonitor xGen 4.0 software.
  • The power of The MotionMonitor xGen 4.0 software when powering our integrated systems is evident in the applications the systems deliver.
